CONFEDERATE FLAGS
The Confederate Flag history began with the Bonnie Blue Flag, a flag which was said to have been in use since 1810, but earned its fame when it was raised during the People of Mississippi's convention in January 9, 1861, when they adopted the Ordinance of Secession.

HISTORICAL FLAGS OF THE U.S.
REVOLUTION OF OLD GLORY.
By law, a star is added to the U.S. Flag on the 4th of July following the admission of a State(s) to the Union. Contrary to popular belief, the first official U.S. Flag was not the Betsy Ross Flag (13 stars in a circle) but the staggered star pattern shown at the left.
